My name is Jeffrey Messan, and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University majoring in cybersecurity. As I begin my college journey in studying cybersecurity, I am excited to see what these four years have in store for me. As of now, in my freshman year, I do not know what I want to do in cybersecurity yet, but I am still exploring, so I want to be able to participate in club meetings, hands-on activities, mentorships, and internships so I can be able to find any career in what works best for me. I also hope to obtain a cybersecurity certification someday. I remember when I took a cybersecurity class in high school, we used VMs (virtual machines) such as Kali Linux, and Windows. Hopefully I will be able to do something similar to that here at ODU. I have a big book of a CompTIA+ Security exam study guide, and I read it from time to time. This bio of me covers and signifies what I learn along the way, and the skills I build in cybersecurity.
