Hey everyone! My name is Jackson Perry, and I’m a student studying here in the cybersecurity program. I am a former member of the United States Navy, and ready to take my next big step into the world of cybersecurity. A little about me, I’m very much into many different hobbies including things like learning about history and wildlife, training martial arts, and spending time with my dog. I also really enjoy Formula 1 racing!

 

I am originally from Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Not too far away! I graduated High School in 2019, and worked in retail for a little bit before I decided to move on to Hardscaping work. Eventually I decided that I wanted a way to get to college, so I enlisted in the United States Navy.

While enlisted I was stationed aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, the newest commissioned carrier in the fleet. During my five years there, I worked as an Ordnanceman handling aircraft and shipboard weaponry. From 2,000 lb. bombs to .50 caliber bullets, I moved quite a bit of weapons and equipment. I was also a flight deck worker, and I worked closely with F-18 fighter aircraft and MH-60 helicopters. In January of 2025, I separated from the military to begin my new path, which has led me here today!
