About Me

Hi, My name is Jasmine N smith. I was born in New Bern, NC and shortly after moved to Newport News, VA. I’ve always wanted to go into the medical field since I was eight years old, because I had this natural tendency to nurture and care for people, put them before my health and care to aid to others. Shortly after that I started high school and was in the health sciences program at Warwick High School. I ended up graduating basically a semester early and started New Horizons program at Virginia peninsula college for Medical Assistanting. I passed my National certification exam and started working in the cardiac unit at Mary Immaculate Hospital, and fell in love with cardiology. I decided ODU was the only college for me because it had the program that I needed and had immaculate support groups. I have family that were alumni of ODU and suggested highly on attending, now I have obtained a full ride to the school and love it so far! My hobbies are volunteering with local communities, video games, watching YouTube, gardening and going on fun adventures with my friends. I hope you guys view my page and see the wonders associated with ODU.
