ABOUT ME

Hey, im Jaylen, but you can call me Jay. I graduated from Hampton High School, class of 2024. I lived in Hampton, Virginia, for half of my life until I moved to Chesapeake for a few years. I live in Norfolk, attending Old Dominion University for my freshman year.

Fun stuff about me is that I did track in High School for my senior year. I did something called shotput and discus; it’s when you throw a heavy ball to see how far you can throw it. Track was fun because it was a lot of different people and a lot of competition it was this guy named Big Reese out there who outthrew all of us; his best throw was a 61, and in High School, that’s a record. I was good at it, but at the same time, I wasn’t because it was my first year I only threw 37, but it was still fun meeting people and going out there. I like playing sports with my friends also we go play Basketball or go to a field to play football we just do it for fun. I also play games I like story-mode games or sports and Fighting games the story-mode game im playing right now is black myth wukong it is a good and fun game to play. Im also an anime nerd. I like watching anime but only fighting anime because they have the best story on how they had to work hard, and I can honestly say I understand that I had to work hard to get where im at. My top five anime are Dragon Ball, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer. I know how to cook a little, im no Gordan Ramsay, but I can cook small stuff like chicken Alfredo and bake mac and cheese.

The foundational aspects of Cybersecurity are important to me as a new student, from understanding network security to understanding the ethical implications of protecting information. My granddad’s ex-wife’s son advised me to choose this path due to its growing demand and financial security, as well as its importance in today’s digital world. In exploring topics like encryption, threat detection, and incident response, I can see how they relate to my broader goal of developing skills that will make me an asset to employers. It is just the beginning of my journey, but I am excited about the possibilities and ready to keep pushing myself forward.”

Basically, I’m just an ordinary guy who enjoys playing video games, competing, and watching anime. I’m always up for a challenge, whether I’m on the field, behind a console, or in the kitchen. Hopefully, the future holds much more growth, fun, and success for me!”
