In this course, I want to gain a strong, practical understanding of how thermal energy behaves in mechanical systems. Specifically, I am looking forward to learning:

  • The Core Modes of Heat Transfer: Mastering conduction, convection, and radiation to figure out how heat flows and changes temperatures.

  • Thermal Design: Discovering how to design effective cooling systems, insulation, and heat exchangers to make machines more efficient.

  • Simulation and Analysis: Using math and software tools to solve real-world heating and cooling problems.
