I am a senior at Old Dominion University, Marine Corps veteran and a mom. I recently moved from Virginia to Oceanside, California and decided to continue my degree with ODU. I have two boys and have been married to an active duty Marine for 16 years. In my spare time I enjoy traveling to Virginia visiting family and volunteering at Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, where my mother is a teacher. I also volunteer at Hope Leadership Foundation and t North County Academy, a school for children with mental health diagnosis.

I am working towards a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in human services and minor in public service. After graduation I intend on seeking a career with a local Social Services office or the Marine Corps Exceptional Family Program. As a mother of a special needs child, I enjoy working with other families with special needs children. My ultimate career goal is to work as an advocate for special needs families in the public school system.
