Hello, my name is Jalynn Harris and I’m a senior at Old Dominion University. My major is criminal justice and I’m hoping to do something pertaining to social work in the future.

I’m the youngest of three siblings and I’ve lived in Virginia Beach, VA my entire life. I’ve always been close to my family so I thought that ODU would be the perfect fit in order for me to get the college experience while still being close to home and loved ones.

My interest in psychology came about my sophomore year. One of my roommates was a psychology major and she introduced me to some new and interesting information about the subject. I decided that when I could I would add some psychology courses to my schedule. With that being said, and with all my other major classes being completed I decided to take some this semester. 

I’m excited for a new semester and to grow a better understanding of social psychology through this course!
