Hello! My name is Jiarong Li (李佳融). I’m originally from China and living in Norfolk at the present. I got my BA degree in Biology at Temple University, Pennsylvania; then my AAS at New York University in Dental Hygiene. I’m now studying for my Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene at ODU. My current research interests are in studying habits and views about oral health among adolescents, aged 12-19 years. A comprehensive research proposal had been developed (non-board reviewed).

My short-term professional goal is to be more prepared in teaching didactically and become an instructor who introduces knowledge and brings happiness to students. My future professional goals include three parts:
a. Owning an office in California and ensuring the environment is patient-friendly;
b. Teaching a class about dental hygiene in a college/university and helping students to achieve their carer goals;
c. Write (or draw) a book (comic book) about oral health and help the public feel comfortable talking about oral health.
