During Heat Transfer, it is expected that you learn to fulfill several objectives. It is expected that you can define different modes of heat transfer, discuss basic laws of conduction, convection, and radiation. It is also expected that you can apply the concept of thermal circuit to solve heat transfer problems. Practicing by solving steady one-dimensional, multi-dimensional, and unsteady heat conduction problems; simple convection problems; and force convection problems using different experimental correlations is required to grasp full knowledge of heat transfer. A fluency in heat transfer comes with the ability of explaining the physical meaning of dimensionless parameter and their relation to different heat transfer problems. And lastly, the knowledge to use different heat transfer applications and methods like LMTD and other commercial computer programs to numerically solve heat transfer systems can all get you by in the engineering field.
In this site, you will find homework, tests, and a collaborative project between aspiring mechanical engineers.
