About Me

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University with a my major in Psychology and minor in Sociology. The brain and how it works has always been an area of interest for me so when choosing an area of study for college my decision was easy. Other than being a student I am a mother of four and wife of an active duty military member in the United States Navy. My family and I are very active and engage in outdoor activities as frequently as possible. My family takes up a great deal of my time, any free time I have is dedicated towards my goal of finishing my degree and beginning a career where I can hopefully help others in some capacity. I am taking this course because I feel that a background education in cross-cultural psychology will be very beneficial; not only from a career standpoint, but on a basic level interacting with individuals who come from different cultural backgrounds than my own. I feel that being able to understand and relate to different cultures leads to having a well-rounded personality and accepting nature; positive attributes that I hope to achieve, maintain, and improve on throughout my lifetime!
