Welcome everyone My name is Joshua Kelley. I am a Senior Psychology student at Old Dominion University. I became interested in psychology through a combination of sports, personal upbringing, and a natural curiosity on why some people think, behave and act in certain manners. I plan to graduate from Old Dominion University in the spring of 2022 and apply to radiography technician school in that Fall. I currently work as a “Direct Medical Condiater ” for an outpatient hospital where I am responsible for the pre-certing of surgeries, fitting custom and no custom braces and pre-certing other emergency medical procedures. I plan on levering my skills that I have learned at my current job as a tool to get accepted in radiography technician school. Unfortunately in my line of work I sometimes often see the same patients throughout the year. I noticed that most of the recurring patients had some form of social discomfort. I decided to take this course because I wanted to attempt to understand why some people think differently in social settings vs how they think in no social setting.
