My name is Marian Joy Farinholt, but I just go by “Joy”. I’m 20 years old and a Junior at Old Dominion University. I am an English Major with a focus of Creative Writing and I have a passion for writing and the use of language. I was born and raised in Winchester, VA where I spent a lot of time hanging out with friends, hiking, and (of course) writing a lot.

In this portfolio, I will be displaying some of the different subjects I have studied throughout my years in college and my growth in education. I hope to continue my educational journey even outside of school when I am exploring career paths and life goals.
