About Me

Hello! My name is John and this is my 2nd semester at ODU. Last year I transferred from TCC and started ODU in the fall. I am a biology major and psychology working towards applying to veterinary school which for me is going to be either Virginia Tech, UNC or UTCVM. As such, my career aspiration is to become a shelter vet and at least to begin with, work at the Norfolk ASPCA. I have never been without a pet throughout my whole life and with all the joy they have given me, I would like to give it back and help other animals. I’ve always known what I wanted to do and that has helped me remained focus on my goals.

I am taking PSYC-304 for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it is required that I take it because it is absolutely needed for my minor as it is one of 4 courses for I need for its completion. But beyond requirements, I am taking this course because I’ve only ever been exposed to social psychology in small pieces at a time. I learned a little bit at the end of introductory psychology, even less in introductory psychology II and then only a little more in developmental psychology which all left me wanting to know more. I hope to learn much more about this subject from taking this class and I’m very thankful to be here.
