My name is Jackie Thomas. I am a student at Old Dominion University (ODU) working towards a Bachelor of Science (Interdisciplinary Studies) majoring in Cybercrimes, a goal I made for myself long ago. I also hold an Associate in Applied Science: Information Systems Technology and an Associate in Applied Science: Intelligence Studies and Technology and currently work in the technology career field as an ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) analyst.
The Cybercrimes coursework at ODU will prepare me for occupations in law enforcement and information technology and teach me about technology-related criminal justice issues, including cyber laws and computer crime investigations. I will also acquire the technical skills that employers ask for, including knowledge of cybersecurity, digital forensics, computer networking, and common programming languages like Java and C+.
