I am a young Navy veteran with prior experience in the Aviation community. My former job was an Avionics technician where I mainly worked in the cockpit of most jets. I never planned on making a career out of the Military, so going to school to earn a degree has always been on my mind. I became a veteran May of 2017, and started school that year. I am currently earning a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity; It’s a different path than what I have experience in, but I’ve always liked working with computers. I figure I might as well make good use of the security clearance I have and use it in an industry like Information Security. With no prior college history/education, I am currently on a fast track – three years to earn my degree. I started the summer of 2017 and will graduate in the spring of 2020. I can’t wait to explore all the possibilities and opportunities there are to offer in the world. I hope everyone has a great semester.
