Hello everyone! I hope the fall semester is treating everyone well so far! My name is Kaitlynn O’Brien and this is my first year attending ODU! I am a transfer student from Virginia Beach; I attended Tidewater Community College and received my Associates in Social Science last fall. When I first started college in 2015 I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in the future. Towards the end of my experience at TCC,  I finally realized that I always enjoyed every  Psychology class that I’ve taken. I decided to branch off of my Associates Degree and major in Psychology.

Some current goals that I have are to graduate with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology by 2020 and to keep my GPA at or above a 3.4 while doing so. I want to grow using my experience here at Old Dominion and create a successful future for myself. I’m looking into getting a minor in something, but am unsure at the moment what it is going to be in.

I’m looking forward to taking this course because Cross Culture Psychology sounded like an interesting concept to me. I’m drawn in on the fact that it studies how human behavior is influenced through culture. Also I’m unsure of what branch of Psychology I am most interested in, so I decided to take an array of classes!
