Hello! My name is Liza Kane, to pronounce my first name it’s like the name Lisa but with a “z”. My family and I are from Wisconsin, after high school I took one year off to figure out what I wanted to do in my life. So I moved to Norfolk with my family in 2019, I started working on my associates in social science at Tidewater Community College on the Norfolk campus. During working through my associates degree, I started my own business, walking dogs and also got a job at IKEA in customer service. After the two years, I finally got my associates with honors! This last fall, I got accepted to ODU and i am on the path to have two majors in Psychology and Sociology. 

My current goals right now that after I finish with ODU, that I can have a masters degree in psychology.  From there I would like to have a career in either a non-profit organization or to be a counselor to young adults/teenagers. The main reason I am taking this course is because on the first day of orientation the psychology counselor talked very highly of this class, and told me that a lot of students really enjoy this class. I never heard about this class prior to her talking about it and looked up what the class means, and I am just really excited to take the course!
