Hi my name is Kara Shiflett!

I am originally from Winchester, VA which is about 4 hours from ODU.

I chose ODU mainly because of how many majors and opportunities there are here. I am very interested in the Athletic Training program at ODU and hope to explore my options through exercise science! ODU just has a lot of good clubs and programs as well that I’m interested in joining. Also, it just happens to be a plus that ODU is right next to an ocean… so beach time all the time!!

I have 4 cats at home named Buddy, Cheese-it, Maleficent, and Luna!

My babies are Buddy and Cheese-it; my sister owns the other two. My parents are currently taking care of them while my sister and I are away.

I am also really interested in the gym and bodybuilding!!
