About Me

My Vision as an Educator

It is my goal as an educator to inspire students by believing in them and supporting them through their academic journey. It is important as a teacher to prepare students for a life full of learning.

My Goal to Become a Teacher

All throughout high school, I bounced back and forth between different career goals. I had originally always wanted to become a teacher, but then after spending months in physical therapy, I contemplated the idea of becoming a physical therapist. Then I shifted gears to working on computers after taking a Computer Information Systems class as a senior. This is why I obtained my Associates Degree in Business Administration. However, after taking a few software design courses, I realized I couldn’t do this for the rest of my life. This is when I finally concluded that I had a passion for working with children and wanted to become an elementary teacher. When I was a senior in high school, I was enrolled in the Teacher Cadet program and was lucky enough to work with my sister-in-law as well as her switch teacher. I have been going back to volunteer in her classroom ever since I graduated from high school, and it brings me so much joy to interact with the children and help with group activities.

Identifying Myself as a Writer

I have always enjoyed writing because it allows me to express myself. It has benefited me by using personal experiences in my writing to connect with the subject of the paper. Although most people may disagree with me, I always loved writing research papers. By writing research papers, I was able to improve my writing skills as well as gain insight on a certain subject.
