My healthcare background began with receiving my undergraduate degree in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University and continued to grow by expanding my education with my Master of Public Health degree. I chose to receive my MPH due to the diversity of the field and the growing advancements. ODU’s MPH program has allowed me to purse a degree through student centered learning and active student involvement. It has prepared me with the skills and knowledge to have an advance understanding of the public health field and allowed me to use these tools to be a voice for the public health community.
