My name is Kelly Paxton, and I have been practicing dental hygiene since 2003. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2003 with my associates in dental hygiene. I continued my degree to finish my bachelors from Georgia Regents University in 2016. I recenlty graduated in 2024 with my master’s degree in dental hygiene with a focus in education from Old Dominion University. I obtained my South Carolina anesthesia license in 2006, and in 2017 I completed the PerioLase MVP-7 certification.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones, for I have never felt the dental hygiene burn out! Over the past two decades I have worked full time treating and educating my patients. I have a long term goal of becoming a professor and taking my love for the profession to the students. Periodontal therapy is my specialty and I would enjoy researching different avenues to treat the periodontally involved patient.
