Why do you consider yourself a “gritty” engineer?

Grit is one of my FAVORITE words! It describes my personality perfectly: ambition, perseverance, and endless resolve.

I am a recent mechanical/motorsports engineering graduate with a focus on automotive design, vehicle aerodynamics, and data logging. Currently, I am searching for opportunities as a junior race engineer or aerodynamicist that will help me develop my skillset.

My highlights during my time at ODU include:

• Leading a small, dedicated team of 7 to its first competition in two years at FSAE Michigan
• Managing all team administrative and marketing functions
• Researching, designing, fabricating, and testing of the team’s first aerodynamics package
• Extensive analysis and trialing of composite materials for the first time in team history
• Designing a custom cooling system and reducing the radiator size by 50%
