Hi, I am a 40 something year old Old Dominion University student working towards a degree in Marine Biology. My goal will be in conservation and restoration of coral reefs. As a child I wanted to be a Marine Biologist at that time I really didn’t have a direction or goal so I never really pursued it. I just loved marine animals and the ocean fascinated me. In the last decade I became interested and started in the Saltwater Aquarium hobby. As I went to conventions and met different people I found my direction. I want to do what I can to help with conservation and restoration of our coral reef communities. I decided I really couldn’t complain about something if I was not willing to do something about it.  

Always good to tell a little about yourself when you meet someone new. I know it is normally through conversation though here goes. I am a foodie I love to cook and try different foods. I am into exercising and lifting weights although lately that has been a little harder to fit in. I enjoy reading a good book, cookbook, or almost anything that I can get lost for hours in.(guess recently that has become textbooks as well) I love movies and will binge watch tv shows occasionally with a big focus on comedy or action/adventure movies or shows. I also love music with Jazz being my favorite. I guess Jazz artists like Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, or Count Basie would be my favorites though I will listen to just about any type of music. I enjoy online gaming some just not as much recently as I used to; how do we find the time for everything I guess at some point we have to choose. I have a mixed reef saltwater aquarium and a cat.
