Introduction: Why we need Cybersecurity!

What you can find out when you search my name on the internet:

The internet is a scary place! Often when you want to find out about somebody, you can look up their name on the internet. For example, I looked up my own name and here is an analysis of what people might find out about me. The first thing that people will see is a lot of hockey information on me. They will find that I am listed in the Elite Prospects Website for hockey. People will learn that I played four years in the Unites States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), which is a competitive hockey league that recruits players into what is known as junior hockey. You will learn that I played for Richmond for two full seasons and Atlanta for two seasons. You will find out that I have gotten 39 points in four seasons. They will even find statistics from when I played hockey as a child. There are also a few images of me on the internet playing hockey. In addition to hockey, people will also find out that I have several social media accounts to include: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and a Twitter account. People will find a Prezi that I made back in high school on “Matter.”  Then they will start to find many of my relatives from my immediate family to my grandmother’s obituary. All in all, there are almost three pages of search results on me…scary!
