ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is Krista Plogger and I am a current MPH student at Old Dominion University. In 2018 I made the decision to explore alternative career options as I found myself no longer experiencing the desire to continue down the nursing track. I began researching public health and immediately came to the conclusion that this was something I saw myself pursuing as a future career. I went on to complete my undergraduate degree at Old Dominion University and graduated with a Bachelors in Health Sciences with a concentration in Public Health. I graduated in August 2020, which is a year none of us will ever forget. I immediately found myself immersed in the world of public health directly following graduation as I accepted a job with the Virginia Department of Health at Chesterfield Health District. I have continued my work in Chesterfield Health District through multiple title changes to include Case Investigator, Mitigation Specialist, and most recently Containment Operations Manager.

My e-porfolio will serve as an outline of my accomplishments, both academically and professionally, including project highlights, skills, and overall reflection. Please feel free to explore and reach out through the form below if you have any questions!
