Hello everyone, my name is Kris Vargas and I am currently a fourth-year cybersecurity student at Old Dominion University. I have prior experience in the field of computer science and exercise science and thoroughly enjoyed both, but chose to focus solely on the field of cybersecurity going into my third year after it piqued my interest. After finishing my degree, I hope to move into the workforce as a Data Security Analyst or a Penetration Tester in my post-graduate career with the eventual chance of upwards mobility. My future goals center around having a stable and flexible work-life balance and being able to travel the world frequently, which are both benefits that the field of Cybersecurity will hopefully provide me with. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis both recreationally and competitively and am currently the Vice President of the ODU Tennis Club.
