Hi! My name is Labib Khan and my major is Cybersecurity. I am currently a freshman at Old Dominion University and would like to get a job in the realm of cybersecurity in the future. The Cybersecurity, Technology, and Society course has taught me valuable lessons about how technology is related to cybersecurity from an interdisciplinary orientation. This course focuses on the way that technologically-driven cybersecurity issues are connected to cultural, political, legal, ethical, and business domains. I have been able to utilize my experiences in this class for my own personal benefit. I am also aware at what individuals should do in order to protect themselves from phishing attacks and social engineering attacks. I am now more cautious whenever I browse the Internet, or when I am on a personal computer or my phone. Cybersecurity is immensely important in this age, and attackers will only continue to get better and better. This is why cybersecurity experts are increasingly sought after, year after year. Once I am finished with ODU, I hope to get a job that is in this field.
