About Me

Hello, my name is Kiana Lassiter and I am currently a junior here at ODU. My goals academically consist of graduating from ODU and pursuing higher education at an institution that offers a dual program allowing me to complete my Master’s and my PsyD at the same time. Once I have obtained my PsyD, I would like to open up my own practice specializing in grief therapy for women and children. I would like to specifically help women who have suffered from infant/child loss and also pregnancy loss. My love for psychology came when I realized how much power there is when you are able to heal and connect with your thoughts, but also how much the mind plays in our everyday life. I also enjoy this subject because it gives a more in depth look at why people may react, act, or feel the way they do. My hope for this class is that I can learn a little more that ties in with the profession and career field that I am aiming for, while also broadening my knowledge of people and how our minds work.
