My name is Lauren Wilson and I am a student at Old Dominion University and I am currently majoring in Cybersecurity and planning on minoring in cybercrime. I currently work at Old Dominion University as a Peer Career Coach. My goal is to assist and help any and everyone with what they need and this is a big reason why I chose cybersecurity. With this field I will be able to help people who are vulnerable to computer threats and teach them how to protect themselves and their important information.  

I have lived in Chesapeake, Virginia since I was eight and before then lived in Norfolk, Virginia. Being that I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life I’m super excited to graduate, start my career and a new life in a new state, hopefully somewhere up north, if the opportunity presents itself. 

During my free time I enjoy working out, going to the beach, watching football, spending time with my friends and family or shopping, which is my weakness. Before this pandemic occurred I loved to travel to different countries and around America. I was fortunate enough to be able to explore all of Italy within a two week span and my next destination will hopefully be Greece
