Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio.  My name is Nick and I am a junior Psychology student at Old Dominion University.

I have many interests which include surfing, skateboarding, biking, motorcycles, and chainsaw tiki carving.  Psychology is another interest and definitely the safest of all that are listed.  There is a commonality in most of my hobbies and that includes psychology.  While many of the interests I have seem more physical in nature, pushing myself to excel in many of those events can rely on breaking mental barriers.  There is no mental barrier when it comes to studying psychology but knowing the methods within multiple psychology subjects will help me to understand where those mental barriers come from in myself and in the future I plan on helping others learn more about themselves.

I’m new to ODU and excited to start working towards finishing my Psych degree.  Social Psychology is one of the first of two classes I am taking, along with Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  Psychology is my major, my passion, and hopefully my future.  I have been taking the long road to my Bachelors Degree and should graduate in 2022.  My goal is to graduate before my son graduates high school and he has just started his freshman year!  I have tried my hand at blogging in the past and it has never turned out well but perhaps since it is part of classwork, this time it will turn out much better.

Social Psychology should accent my other class this semester according to what I have learned so far from each subject.  Organizational psychology contains a bit of a social psychology aspect.  I am looking forward to obtaining new ideas and knowledge from this class, the other students, and the professor as well.
