About Me
Hello class! My name is Tina Leatherbury and I am an RN working on the Neuro unit at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. I have worked with Riverside for roughly three years. I would say that my healthcare background started with being the oldest of six children and being fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mother to my four children. I was a CNA for nearly 15 years and most of that was while working on becoming an RN. Most of my CNA experience was with home health, hospice, and rehab before working on the Neuro unit. Neuro is extremely fast paced with lots of things to learn. Sometime in the very near future I would like to get my SCRN certification. Now I want to focus on completing my BSN.
Personally, I am married and have been for 24 years to a wonderful and very supportive man. As stated earlier we have four children ages ranging from 16-20. My oldest is actually a current junior at ODU as well majoring in Psychology/Criminology. My second child is a sophomore at Richard Bland College of William & Mary majoring in Forensics. While the next two are a senior and junior in high school respectively. We live in Hampton and have lived here for 18 years. I enjoy reading and spending quality time with my family. We love to play card games, board games, watching movies and simply hanging out enjoying each others company.
