My name is Liana Jones, and I am currently a second-year student at Old Dominion University, majoring in International Business. I am passionate about global connections and understanding how businesses operate across cultures, and I am excited to continue developing the skills that will prepare me for a dynamic career in the international marketplace.
I am originally from Hopewell, Virginia, and I am the youngest of three siblings. Growing up as the youngest has shaped me into someone who is adaptable, observant, and motivated to carve out my own path while learning from those around me. My background has instilled in me a strong sense of community, resilience, and ambition.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I work on campus as a student worker in Talent Management and Culture (TMC) at ODU, serving as a TMC and Outreach Assistant. In this role, I support initiatives that foster engagement, professional development, and a positive workplace culture within the university community. This experience has strengthened my communication, organizational, and leadership skills while allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the university environment.
Looking ahead, I aspire to become an entrepreneur and launch my own skincare brand specifically designed for individuals with eczema. My goal is to create products that are gentle, effective, and inclusive, helping people feel confident and cared for in their own skin. By combining my business education with my passion for skincare and wellness, I hope to build a brand that not only succeeds globally but also makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
