My name is Domenique Lockley, and I am a first-generation college student at ODU. I currently reside in Newport News VA and work as a Pharmacy Technician. In my free time I enjoy writing songs, singing, listening to music, and going out with friends. When first entering ODU I had a hard time determining what I wanted to major in. While it was clear that I wanted to do something to help others, and better my own experiences and knowledge I was unsure. At first, I wanted to major in music because it was something I liked a lot and it influences others. Currently I am majoring In Psychology with the hopes of one day being a criminal psychologist or working with children who have mental illness. Psychology has always been something that I enjoyed but never really took the time to get into, once I took my first class in community college it was clear that this was in some way my calling.
