Da’Zha Q. Loney

Hi! I’m Da’Zha Loney; a 21-year-old student, assuming my mark in the world. Having grown up as a “military brat”, I have always appreciated the diverse cultural upbringing that extensive travel has afforded me. I am an accomplished student-athlete and from my love of the game of soccer, along with the presence of frequent lower extremity injuries, I made a decision to study exercise science at ODU. My minors, psychology and health and wellness are due to the fact that I am a vegan and a huge mental health advocate. My passion for fitness has led me to earn a personal training and nutrition certificate “on the side” in order to gain more experience that compliments my academic studies. I will be attending George Mason University in the spring of 2023 to pursue my Master’s degree in kinesiology. My academic goals right now are to increase my understanding of the connection between the human body and the mind, become a cardiac rehab specialist, and contribute research to the exercise science field.

Never give up until you've given out all your very best. It's better to fail trying, than wondering what could have happened if you tried. -J. Cole
