Hi! I’m Da’Zha Loney; a 20 year old student, assuming my mark in the world. Having grown up as a “military brat”, I have always appreciated the diverse cultural upbringing that extensive travel has afforded me. I am an accomplished student athlete and from my love of the game of soccer, along with the presence of frequent lower extremity injuries, I made a decision to study exercise science at ODU. My academic goals are to better understand the human body and contribute to the future of preventing injuries in women athletes in the future by getting my doctorate in physical therapy. My minors, psychology and health and wellness are due to the fact that I am a vegan and a huge mental health advocate. My passion for fitness has led me to earn a personal training and nutrition certificate “on the side” in order to gain more experience that compliment my academic studies. I have chosen to take cross-cultural psychology because I have experienced many cultures and just hope to continue learning the reasons behind why people are the way they are and how I can assist medically. I hope to gain a better understanding of how to be a better doctor in the future when I am assisting patients rehabilitate and help them implement healthy aspects into their daily lives.
