Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lowery and my major is Leadership Interdisciplinary Studies. My minors are Psychology and Information Systems and Technology. My goal is to graduate from Old Dominion University within the next two years and to continue my career as a compliance professional. The reason I’ve decided to pursue a degree in Leadership is because my personal experiences have shown me that good leadership is important in the world. Also, I’ve met good leaders and bad leaders and I’ve found that good leaders are hard to find while bad leaders come a dime a dozen. At the point in which I realized there is a lack of good leadership in the world, I decided that I wanted to learn as much possible about leadership so that I could become a good leader while developing myself into a human that adds value to the world. I also realized that in order to become a good leader and valuable person, I need to understand people on a deeper level, which is why I’ve decided to pursue a minor in Psychology. Lastly, I’ve chosen a minor in Information Systems and Technology because a lot of what everyone does involves information systems and technology and having knowledge about this subject would benefit me personally and professionally.
