My career in IT/Cyber Security started in January 2018 when I completed Navy Basic Training and was sent to Pensacola Florida for IT “A” School. There I went from being someone who couldn’t tell you what Linux was, to someone who could easily break a Linux server on accident.

I was stationed on board DDG 67 USS COLE for four years. In that time I quickly began learning the practical skills needed to become a Domain administrator for my ship, and became one of two Communication Watch Officers onboard Cole.

I currently work for Motorola Solutions in the Sustainment team for the Navy Emergency Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) system. I am Comptia Security+ certified and am excited to continue my cyber security studies with ODU.
