About Me

Hello! My name is Maggie Byrd and I am 19 years old from Chesapeake, Virginia. I am a sophomore at Old Dominion University where I am also majoring in criminal justice, a member of the cheerleading team, as well as a part of greek life. This is my second year on the cheerleading team, and I could not be more thrilled! Cheerleading is my passion, I have been cheerleading for about 12 years now and I would not give up any of those for the world. I feel as though that cheerleading has truly shaped me into the hard working and dedicated person that I am today.

The career that I am working extremely hard to achieve in the future is a job in one of the federal government agencies. It has always been my dream to become a behavioral analyst for a federal agency, thanks to all of the crime tv shows I used to watch with my mom when I was younger. The psychological aspect of the crimes, as well as how it affects the victims is very interesting to me and I am eager to learn more about people’s behavior so that I can better understand why people do what they do. I feel that Social Psychology is going to be a great course and I am extremely interested in diving right into the semester, and going deeper into the Psychological department.
