Hi! My name is Maria Hansen. I’m currently attending Old Dominion on the track to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I am in my third semester and working to apply to the ODU nursing program by spring of 2027. I plan to use my degree to pursue travel nursing and work in the labor and delivery department. I come from a large family, being the oldest of 6 kids. I’ve always loved to take care of people and to help whoever I can when they need someone.

Throughout this course, I have been introduced to many different parts that I might have to deal with in the healthcare system. The amount of technology that the healthcare system utilizes is essential to the proper functioning of each department in a hospital. I can now recognize and utilize every technological tool available to me, to perform tasks safely and to the best of my ability.
