About Me

Hello, I’m MarQeese Dietz. I’m a Student-Athlete for the Old Dominion Football Team. I am from Norfolk, Va. I personally love to participate in community service activities such as providing the homeless shelters with food as well as doing a mentorship program at Blair Middle School. I also graduated from Norview High School as an honor student! With the little bit of time in this class, I have personally learned and carried knowledge over from the NIST Framework structure. This may have been one of my most challenging assessments so far that’s actually been helping me along through this course. Within this cybersecurity course, I have learned that almost 90% of jobs has some sort of cybersecurity involved. With the world slowly transforming into a digital based work world, cybersecurity is a vital field to learn through. Personally, I have always been interested in the special forces/police agents type of jobs which requires cybersecurity knowledge in order to solve certain crimes. I have came to realize that this is a great field to get into just because of all the cyber involved in our world.

Cybersecurity has been a field I have continued to find interest in. There are so many people out here that experience some type of cyber attack through devices, systems, or even identity without even realizing it. I have personally received emails and texts of false ups deliveries for the exchange of my information. These types of cyber threats are reasons why I’ve always wanting to find solutions to avoid these problems!
