Hey! My name is Marshall Brown, a senior at Old Dominion University, wrapping up my bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security this semester (Fall 2024). I grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia, where I developed a love for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and hunting.
Funny enough, my hobbies couldn’t be further from the digital world of Cyber Security—I’m more likely to be unplugging fishhooks than servers. But despite the contrast, I’ve found a real passion for protecting systems and solving cybersecurity challenges. I may not find many phishing scams out in the woods, but I still love the work and can’t wait to see where this career takes me!
