About Me

My name is Max Khamphavong, and I am a first generation Laotian-American. (2002) I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in a small city named Harrisonburg, as well as some parts of Ashburn in Northern Virginia. Currently located in downtown Norfolk, and have been in the Hampton Roads since 2020. I love Old Dominion University for the diversity, but also a gateway to the region when it comes to jobs, and opportunities. For my time at Old Dominion I am looking forward to receiving my bachelors in Cybersecurity and Business Administration.

I’m currently a full-time student, and I a working at a full-time job. There I do Variable Data Analysis at a local commercial printer company called Preferred Direct. My other hobbies mostly revolve around tech such as the coding, PC hardware and other tech savvy news. Although, others include being active like going on hikes, travel, and cooking.

The Long Term:

As much as the area offers, I definitely do not see myself staying in Virginia. My goals after I receive my bachelors is to move into one of the the Northeastern Corridor, perhaps Philadelphia. Mostly due to my current rent is roughly the same, and Philadelphia offers much more overall. (PA/NJ/NY)
