My name is Elizabeth McCattry; I’m a fourth year psychology major who carries a human services minor at Old Dominion University. I am employed with United Property Associates as the Coporate Office Assistant- an umbrella job title that esentially means I can assist in several areas of the company. Currently, I’m twenty-one years old and 38 weeks pregnant with my first born daughter. I chose to take social psychology because I feel it will assist me in achieving my long term goal of making some changes around the city of Norfolk, including: building the mental health structure, revamping the housing programs, and bringing a more positive look/ feel to the city to bring a better reputation for an area that has the potential to be so much more. There is so much hidden talent and spirit here that sits dormant due to hinderances beyond the people’s capabilities of helping themselves.
