Hello, my name is Benjamin McGann. I am currently a senior (yay!) attending ODU for an Interdisciplinary degree in Professional Writing with a minor in Psychology. My long-term goal is to obtain a graduate degree in English with the even longer-term goal of becoming a teacher.

My reason for choosing Social Psychology over a few other options available in my minor is because I believe there is value in understanding how an individual navigates, influences, and is influenced by society. Even us introverts must traverse crowds from time to time!

Psychology has always interested me—and why I chose it for my minor—because it feels like applied philosophy, to me at least. To better understand my inner self and my mind has always been my goal whenever taking a psychology class.
