I am a mother, nurse practitioner, student, wife, and yogi. I’m a bird-walker, a curious person whose zest for life leads to experiences that further shape my academic and professional pursuits.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire, and a Master of Science degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specialization from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I am currently pursuing a second bachelors degree in biology with a specialization in biomedical sciences.
I believe we never have to stop growing and can gain something positive from each life event. My nursing education and life experience equate to translatable skills, including adaptability, critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and a strong work ethic. As a bedside nurse, I perform operating room nurse duties in developing international, military treatment, surgery center, and urban trauma settings. The next adventures I’m excited to begin are my career as a PMHNP, and developing my knowledge in the hard sciences.
