“Hello. I’m Kourtney Reese,
A Navy veteran and certified biomedical equipment technician, who is now seeking a degree in Biomedical Sciences at Old Dominion University.”
End-of-term reflection:
My future career interest is becoming an OBGYN after medical school and the week spent on cellular reproduction was beneficial to me. As a doctor, It is important that I know the very beginning steps and how our sex cells are made. And even as a woman in my reproductive years, it is important for me to be aware of my sexual cells’ production and my time span. This class challenged me, unlike any other biology class because of the deep dive and massive knowledge provided to me. Before this class, I had a general idea of meiosis but after this course, I can see that I have developed a deeper understanding of the meiosis process.
