For this semester, I expect to learn the specifics of heat transfer, a concept I am familiar with from two semesters spent studying thermodynamics.  In those courses, the goal was to understand how heat was used to produce energy, and how those energy producing processes created and utilized heat as a resource.  Often, the idea of heat transfer was neglected to make those scenarios easier to understand and manipulate.  Now, the concept of heat transfer will be the focus and should help me understand more fully how heat moves and effects various systems.
