
Hello! My name is Michaela Payne and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University. I am originally from Tennessee, but I have grown up in many different states being a military child. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science and sharpening my skills in programming languages such as Python. I am also in ROTC and aspire to commission as an officer in the Army’s Cyber Command upon graduating college.

In cybersecurity and the social sciences, we learn how to draw knowledge from social factors like anthropology, psychology, etc. and apply them to cybersecurity to analyze cyber threats and create potential solutions.
