About Me

My name is Miranda Begley and I am a Junior at Old Dominion University. I graudate with my Bachelors of Cybersecurity in May 2024. I believe knowledge is the greatest power, and with the right education, I can truly do anything I put my mind to.

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, and am twenty-four years old. I graduated from Tidewater Community College with my Associate of Science and then transferred to Old Dominion University to farther my education. I am a stay-at-home mom to my daughter, Stella, and she is actually the reason why I decided to get my Bachelors of Cybersecurity. Once I figured out that I can stay at home full-time with my daughter all while obtaining a degree in Cybersecurity, I knew that was the perfect option for me.

I ended up falling in love with the growing field of Cybersecurity, and my long-term goal is to become an Ethical Hacker. I would like to become an Ethical Hacker because I love performing penetration tests on networks. As of right now, I am looking for an entry level cybersecurity job. I have my CompTIA A+ certification and I would like to get my CompTIA Security+ certification soon.
