About Me

Greetings! I am Christen Governale and an MLIS candidate at Old Dominion University. I am studying to become an accredited public librarian. I aim to assist in the transformation of libraries from just book lending organizations to indispensable, collaborative and lively community hubs. Currently, I am an Assistant  Librarian  connecting the community to programming, books and  resources that help them expand their world.  I also actively serve as a local Board of Education Trustee (3 terms) and as a Notary.  I live in New Jersey, just outside New York City and thrive on change and community involvement.

Thank you for taking a moment to look through my portfolio and my introduction clip below.
